Usually referred to as TH Koln, Fachhochschule Koln is the largest University of Applied Sciences in Germany. Set across two campuses in Cologne, one campus in Leverkusen and one in Gummersbach, TH Köln offers more than 90 Bachelors and Masters programs.

ACADEMIC YEAR: Runs from September to July.
COSTS: The cost of living in Cologne will vary depending on the type of accommodation you select and your lifestyle. You will have to pay a semester fee of approx. 350 Euros, this covers public transport in Germany. More information on cost of living can be found here.

ACCOMMODATION: TH Köln does not offer on-campus accommodation. Information on how to search for accommodation in Cologne/Gummersbach can be found on their website. Students can apply at the Kölner Studierendenwerk (KSTW), which offers student accommodation (no guarantee of an offer) and should also look for housing in the private sector. Apply early and be open to more than one choice to make sure you get a room, even if it is not in the location you would have preferred.
HEALTH INSURANCE: You will be required to purchase mandatory health insurance for your time at TH Cologne. More information can be found here.
