Deposits (Further information)

All self-funded international students are required to pay a deposit which goes towards your course tuition fees.  Your Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) statement cannot be progressed until you have paid your deposit (and satisfied any other requirements relating to your application).

International applicants are required to pay a minimum £4,000.00 deposit to confirm their place and progress to CAS processing stage, with the following exceptions*

*Applicants from the following states of India are required to pay the first year tuition fee in full (less any bursary or scholarship confirmed at CAS stage): Haryana and Punjab.

*Applicants from the following states of India are required to pay £8,000 deposit (less any bursary or scholarship confirmed at CAS stage): Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Telangana.

*Applicants from Afghanistan will be required to pay the first year tuition fee in full (less any bursary or scholarship confirmed at CAS stage).

*Applicants from Bangladesh, Ghana, Pakistan and Cameroon will be required to pay 50% of their first year tuition fee as a deposit (less any bursary or scholarship confirmed at CAS stage).

You must ensure your deposit payment has cleared in Swansea University's account by the relevant deadline.

Prior to enrolment, International applicants can now pay their deposit and tuition fee advanced payment via the Learner Gateway Applicant Portal.

This allows you, to pay GBP student fees in the currency of your choice in a simple and secure way.

  1. Log in to your Learner Gateway Applicant Portal (https://learner.swansea.ac.uk/urd/sits.urd/run/siw_lgn)
  2. Should be required to pay a deposit, a task will appear ‘To Pay a Tuition Fee Deposit payment’ Pay a Tuition Fee Deposit
  3. Click on this task, select the correct course that you would like to make a deposit payment for on the drop down menu and click ‘select’ – this will take you directly to Convera GlobalPay
  4. Simply select the country you are paying from, what are you paying and your preferred method of payment.
  5. Enter your student details, following the payer details.
  6. Get your payment instructions and make your payment.
