As a student of The College, Swansea University you are invited to make the Bay Campus your new home. Safe, secure and convenient accommodation during your studies at Swansea University, accommodation on Bay Campus offers a high quality en-suite study bedroom, just a short walk to The College academic building. 

 If capacity allows, we try to allocate students who are studying in The College into the Rod Jones Halls of Residences. This is made up of four blocks - Clun, Cynffig, Dulais and Tawe.

The College, together with Swansea University Residential Services, welcomes your application for the next academic year. We're working together to provide a streamlined process to students studying at The College.

Additional Information

  • When you are ready create an accommodation account and follow the instructions at each stage
    • You can log back into your accommodation account and change your preferences at any time
    • Updating your preference will not affect the date you first made your application.
  • Offers of accommodation will only be issued once an applicant has been issued with an Unconditional offer letter by The College or Swansea University
  • If you then wish to accept the accommodation offer, you will then be asked to agree to a tenancy and pay a reservation deposit.

*Please note that typically, students of The College, Swansea University will be allocated accommodation at Rod Jones Halls of Residence on Bay Campus, which primarily houses students studying with The College, including UK students on Accounting and Finance, Business, Economics, Psychology, Social Sciences and Sociology Foundation programmes.

Room Types

Standard En-Suite Room

All rooms are equipped with:

  • Small double bed (known as 3/4 bed),
  • Bedside chest,
  • Desk
  • Chair
  • Bookshelf,
  • Storage for clothes
  • An en-suite with shower, toilet and wash hand basin. 

All rooms have broadband service and personal belongings insurance included in the rent. 

In addition, the room features blackout curtains, a pinboard, and mirror.  You will have access to a shared kitchen and a number of communal facilities (see Communal Features).

Under 18

If you are under 18 when you start your programme with The College, you will automatically be placed in an alcohol-free flat.

Living Environments

You may choose quieter, single-sex or flats where alcohol is not permitted when you apply. 

Rooms suitable for wheelchair users are available, as are flats for students with visual or hearing impairments.  Please ensure you indicate your adapted room requirements when applying, so we can allocate the correct accommodation for you.

If you would prefer to live Off-Campus then Swansea has plenty of options. From the central location of the City Centre to the affordability of Brynmill, Swansea's seaside private sector accommodation options are sure to cater for your specific needs and wants. Please note that Swansea University has no on-campus accommodation suitable for families so if you are planning on joining us with family then this is the option for you!
