SDU Summer School, Denmark - Engineering

Spend 2 weeks in Denmark from 3-16 August 2024 and experience the Danish language and culture this summer! Southern Denmark University are offering summer school courses across 2 campuses - Odense and Sønderborg and you will be a part of a truly international learning environment giving you a network of friends all over the world.

Eligibility

Students must be enrolled at Swansea University
Students cannot be in the final year of study
Postgraduate students can apply for funding but must provide evidence that their academic supervisor approves of their participation.
International students should speak to International@CampusLife to check the impact of the work placement on their Student Route visa

Costs and Funding

Estimated cost to student on Engineering and Science courses: Approximately £350 per student or approximately £175 per WP eligible student

This is based on an overall estimated cost of £1,495

Programme cost for 2 weeks: £990
Estimated additional costs: £505 which includes
- assumed flight cost - £180
- accommodation cost -£325
- breakfast is included in accommodation cost.
- You may incur additional costs not listed above

Estimated additional costs were sourced in February 2024 and may decrease/increase. Students may need to pay additional costs which are not outlined above. All of the above figures are estimates and are subject to change.

FUNDING AVAILABLE

£1145 per student or £1320 per WP eligible student

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Funding may be Taith or Go Global funding.
If you fail to participate in the entire programme, you will be required to repay any funding received
You will receive the first instalment of funding awarded when you arrive in country and start your programme. A second instalment will be paid at the end of your programme, once your duration has been confirmed.

Widening Participation Criteria

annual household income of £25,000 or less (rising to £30,000 for Go Global bursaries)
students receiving Universal Credit or income-related benefits (for Taith and Turing only)
care leavers and care experienced students
care givers (excludes Taith)
estranged students.
refugees and asylum seekers.
first international or professional experience (for Santander only)
