Wales Women are using Swansea University’s sports facilities as they prepare for their Six Nations clash against Scotland.
A 35-strong squad are training at the International Sports Village in Sketty Lane ahead of the game on Sunday, 1 November.
Wales Women will be looking to finish the calendar year on a high ahead of next year’s World Cup which will be held in New Zealand.
Wales last faced Scotland back in November 2019 when they secured a 17-3 victory in Glasgow.
Wales Women captain and Swansea University Head of Rugby Siwan Lillicrap said: “It’s great to be in Swansea and to be able to bring the girls to my home patch as it were. The International Sports Village is where I spend most of my time and we’ve got everything we need here – two pitches, the gym and indoor training and meeting areas.
“We’re all excited to be back training together and preparing to finish off the Six Nations campaign against Scotland.
“It’s the start of a big year for us with the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand – what we do now will have a big impact on the year ahead.”
Interim Wales Women head coach Darren Edwards added: “We’ve got great place to train here at Swansea University. We’re all thrilled to be able to get back together and put the building blocks in place for the match against Scotland.”
