Banwen Library is a branch of the South Wales Miners’ Library and is based at the DOVE Workshop, Banwen, 25 miles from Swansea in the Dulais Valley.
This was opened in 1989 to support the pioneering Community University of the Valleys. The library was enlarged and refurbished in 1993 and 2002.
We support Adult Education classes taught at the DOVE Workshop, and surrounding area.
Banwen Library is OPEN TO ALL.
All Swansea University staff and students can use the library and it's services; and members of the public and local community are welcome to use the library.
