The Children’s Legal Centre (CLC) Wales has received two additional year's-worth of funding from the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.

Over the last 3 years, the CLC Wales has successfully developed a wealth of information on the law in Wales and its impact on children – including 120 pages of information, 62 bilingual blogs and 7 special interest projects including information for children seeking asylum, those in foster care and those with a disability, to name a few.

The next phase of development supported by the additional funding focuses on further strengthening children’s legal information and empowerment services in Wales. It will also prioritise developing a partnership approach to strategic litigation, to improve the law for disadvantaged children and service delivery through the establishment of Initial Advice Services.

Academic Lead for the CLC Wales, Professor Simon Hoffman said:

"We are thrilled, once again, to receive financial support from the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation. They are an excellent funder to work with and we look forward to developing the work of the Children’s Legal Centre Wales to improve children’s access and understanding of the law in Wales with their support."
