A New IT Service Desk Has Launched

IT Services have launched a new IT Service Desk for all staff and students.  

All IT related problems and requests are now to be captured and resolved within the new system.  

Why is there a new IT Service Desk?

Over the last 12 months we have identified that we need to focus on three key areas to improve upon the IT service that we have previously provided to you. 

Our Processes

This workstream will embed ITIL (standard service management) practices, implementing and training people in the associated processes to ensure the whole department is working consistently.  

Our Platform

This workstream will be implementing a new Service Management Platform to replace Ivanti LANDesk for the capture of IT related calls. 

Our People 

This workstream will look at the structure, responsibility, and fulfilment of roles within the department. 

How will this affect me? 

The libraries are no longer the contact/visiting point for IT Services for staff and students. We have a walk-in desk in Fulton House and will shortly have a presence on the Bay Campus.
