The University is located in Groningen just under 2 hours away from Amsterdam and 40 minutes from the German border. Summers in Groningen are warm and humid, winter temperatures are cool with frosts common, there is often snowfall however it does not tend to lie long. The university has a very active Erasmus Student network that organises over 150 events in the year so there is plenty to get involved with. There is no on campus accommodation but the International Office at Groningen will direct you to outside providers.
It will not be possible to complete a year abroad at this University if you have any assessments, such as supplementary or deferred exams, during the August assessment period at Swansea University.
