We were delighted to welcome the Minister for Education and Welsh Language, Jeremy Miles, to Swansea University on 24 March as part of the annual tour to all Initial Teacher Education (ITE) providers in Wales. The Partnership enjoyed discussing Initial Teacher Education in Wales at such an exciting and important time for the education sector. The Minister was introduced by Professor Elwen Evans KC, (Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Executive Dean for the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences) and Professor Tom Crick MBE (Deputy Pro-Vice Chancellor - Civic Mission and Head of the Department of Education and Childhood Studies). The question and answer session was chaired by Dr Gwenno Ffrancon (Director of Academi Hywel Teifi). The audience included current Swansea University PGCE and Education students as well as the PGCE team and colleagues from across the Swansea University Schools’ Partnership.
