Minister visits RSRW project 

The Minister for Climate Change Wales, Julie James, recently visited one of sites being remediated as part of the Reconnecting the Salmon Rivers of Wales project.

Project Co-ordinator Prof. Carlos Garcia de Leaniz hosted the event which also welcomed members of the Heritage Fund team and coincided with the announcement of funding awarded to nine sites across Wales.

Led by Swansea University, the project consortium of West Wales Rivers Trust, the Wye & Usk Foundation, Dwr Cymru, NRW, the Afan Valley Angling and Conservation club and Afonydd Cymru, aims to create an additional 141km of free-flowing rivers in South and West Wales, more details can be found here.
