Wave is Swansea University’s exclusive crowdfunding platform. It enables current students and members of the University to crowdfund their imagination, develop their interests and pursue creative and innovative projects and ideas. These projects and ideas will make an impact across the institution and the wider community.

Root Zero - Zero Waste shop

Root Zero developed out of a growing need for individuals to reduce their carbon footprint, especially where single-use plastic is concerned. By selling various grains, snacks, herbs and spices, detergents, hygiene products and household goods, customers can bring in their own containers and fill up in-store.

Timothy Davies - Secret Prize

Following a 40 year career at Swansea University, esteemed engineering lecturer Dr Timothy Davies is soon to retire. however, this will not be the end for Tim, as this favourite lecturer of many will be leaving behind a staggering £3,622 collected from over 60 donors in his memory of his time at Swansea. The Timothy Davies prize will be awarded to students for years to come for the best second-year group project to build autonomous robots for the annual residential micro mouse competition, which Tim created.

Team Swansea Half Marathon

On the 23rd of June, 5 Staff members from Swansea University took part in the Swansea Half Marathon, collectively raising £716 for student-led projects at the University.
