The 1920 Abbey Circle

Your support is incredibly important to the University, and we are delighted to recognise this by inviting you to join the 1920 Abbey Circle. The Circle recognises those who make the inspiring decision to remember the University in their Will.

The 1920 Abbey Circle, paying homage to Singleton Abbey based on the University’s Singleton campus, reflects the industrial heritage of the University dating back to 1920 when it was first established. During the 19th century, Swansea became a major centre of industry and commerce, its port a gateway to the world. The Abbey became part of Swansea University during the 1920s and was one of just two permanent buildings on campus during the 1940s. The Abbey reflects the growth and development of the University over the years into a dual campus, multi-disciplinary institution.
