A generous donation received this year honours the memory of a former student who passed away while studying with us in the 1970s. Given in memory by his mother more than 50 years later, the gift reflects her desire to create a lasting and meaningful tribute.
Together with a contribution from the University, this donation will now fund a full PhD Scholarship within Chemical Engineering, offering a student the opportunity to take the next step in their academic journey, one he was sadly unable to pursue.
We will be proud to pay tribute to both Cynthia and Jefferey later this year when the inaugural names are etched onto our memorial gardens at Singleton and Bay Campus.
This scholarship stands as a powerful legacy, transforming remembrance into opportunity and ensuring that one family’s story will continue to inspire and support generations to come.
