In the last year, alumni reunions have been held in a number of cities around the world, providing the opportunity for Swansea graduates from all disciplines and years of study to reconnect with the university and its wider community.
Swansea University’s International Chapters help alumni stay connected, grow their networks and engage with fellow graduates in their country.
International Chapters
Hong Kong
The evening brought together graduates from across cohorts to share experiences, create new connections and a renewed sense of belonging. Following the event, the Hong Kong chapter organised a second, alumni-led event, to continue the Swansea connection within Hong Kong. This event was so successful, a recent graduate secured an interview opportunity through connections made on the evening, highlighting the tangible impact of these occasions.
Malaysia
The alumni team also travelled to Malaysia to host our second large reunion since the University established its presence in the region. The event helped to strengthen the academic partnerships in the country, alongside the alumni network.
“It was a pleasure to meet so many alumni during our visit to Malaysia. I was delighted to hear fond memories and to witness the deep connection shared with our University. I look forward to further strengthening our ties in the region.”
- Dylan Williams, Senior Development Officer
Nigeria
Alumni Chapter events in Abuja and Lagos were organised to strengthen connections among graduates in Nigeria. Alumni had the opportunity to reconnect with the University, build local networks and discuss opportunities to support their communities.
Kenya
In Kenya, an alumni dinner brought together graduates from across the years to reconnect, share experiences and expand professional networks. The event provided valuable mentoring opportunities for recent graduates while helping Swansea University maintain strong alumni relationships and continue
supporting graduates in their academic and professional journeys.
