Student Engagement at Swansea University

There are loads of different events, activities and initiatives for students to get involved in here at Swansea University. Whether you're interested in recycling, biodiversity, wellbeing, or anything in between, we'll have something for you! Simpy send us an email to be added to the mailing list so you'll be the first to know about future events.

Our stand out student engagement programme is the Sustainability Award. Download our Sustainability Award Leaflet to see for yourself. Students of any subject, in any year of their degree, can work towards this award throughout their time at Swansea University.

Gaining the award involves completing sustainability related activities alongside the Sustainability Team, Discovery, Students Union and fellow students.

Find out what kind of activities this includes by reading our Sustainability Award Criteria document.

The award is formally recognised alongside your degree, and even contributes towards your Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR). There are a range of opportunities for you to bid for monies to run your own practical or experiential sustainability projects as part of the Silver and Gold Award criteria. Additional sources of potential funding for these projects are available, including:

To create a Sustainability Award record, log onto Blackboard and select “Student Sustainability Award” from the list. Tell us what sustainability activities you have done by filling in the boxes on the award workbook. Send us an email to tell us you have filled in all the boxes on an award level of your choice. We’ll review your record and be in touch. You can read more about the Sustainability Award over on the MyUni website.
