Costs: £1400 programme fee (which includes a £200 deposit) plus flights and additional costs. 

Funding: £1900 for eligible students, or £2400 for eligible widening participation students
Funding is limited and not guaranteed for all applicants. Funding applications are reviewed on a first come, first served basis. Published funding is only open to eligible applicants who apply by midnight 4th January 2026. After this date, funding levels may be reduced.

Dates - the following programme options are eligible for funding:

  • 24th June → 11th August 2026 (Rural and Temple Schools)
  • 8th July → 11th August 2026 (Rural and Temple Schools)
  • 8th July → 25th August 2026 (Rural and Temple Schools)

You need to have completed your assessments at Swansea before departure so choose your start date carefully. Your programme must be completed by August 31st 2026 for funding purposes.

Programme details

Gotoco'ers teach in rural villages and towns across central and northern Thailand, including areas such as Nakhon Sawan, Phichit, Uthai Thani, Kamphaeg Phet, Chiang Mai and Surin. 

English is taught by Thai teacher and a week in the programme will include: 

  • 18 hours of English lessons on average
  • 15-30 students per class (depending on the chosen school)
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons and participate in school activities including sports day, football and music clubs.

Gotoco Thailand dates available for funding:
