Overview: Alberta's summer school offers 2 programmes to choose from where you spend 3 weeks in Canada, including a weekend trip to the Rocky Mountains. More information on both programmes can be found on Alberta's webpage.

Costs: $4,800 CAD programme fee plus flights and additional costs

Funding: £XXX for eligible students, or £XXX for eligible widening participation students
Funding is limited and not guaranteed for all applicants.
Funding applications are reviewed on a first come, first served basis.

Programme details

Experience three unforgettable weeks at the University of Alberta through one of their summer programmes. Designed for undergraduate students, both programmes combine academic enrichment, hands-on learning, cultural exploration, and opportunities to build lifelong friendships.

Whether you’re developing solutions to global challenges or designing community-based innovations, you’ll learn new skills, grow your confidence, and experience life in one of Canada’s most vibrant university communities. Students in both programmes can enjoy:
 

  • Three weeks of engaging workshops, teamwork, and applied learning
  • A full weekend excursion to Calgary and Banff, including cultural and environmental activities
  • Visits to major Edmonton landmarks such as the Alberta Legislature
