About

Dr Zi Hong Mok is a Senior Lecturer in Pharmaceutics and Pharmacy at Swansea University Medical School and a key contributor to the development of the latest MPharm programme. His research centres on advanced drug delivery, nanoparticle formulations, and pharmaceutical 3D printing to advance patient‑centred therapeutics.

As a pharmaceutical scientist and an independent prescriber, Dr Mok draws on experience in community, hospital, GP out‑of‑hours and industry settings, enriching his teaching with real‑world clinical insight. He additionally contributes to national assessment standards as a question writer for the GPhC common registration assessment.

As the Medical School Internationalisation Lead, he drives global engagement, enhances international student experience, and leads strategic partnerships, including the SPARKS initiative.

Dr Mok is a Senior Fellow of Advance HE and an Associate of King’s College London. Beyond academia, he is also a professional dancer, with performances at the National Theatre, the London 2012 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony, and in an Emmy‑nominated episode of Doctor Who. He champions the integration of Science and the Arts to enhance public engagement and interdisciplinary learning.
