Ansgar is an Applied Microeconomist, who uses applied game theory, empirical Microeconomic methods and laboratory experiments in his research. His main field of interest is Law & Economics, i.e., the economic analysis of the incentive effects of laws. Examples for other areas that he has worked in are health, education, public finance, bank regulation and industrial organisation. The real-world impact of his research ranges from citations in Westminster debates to an ongoing policy project for the Food Standards Agency.
