This is essentially a module of independent study for students doing the MA Education for the Health Professions. The module will enable participants to show that they can design, conduct and present a sustained conceptual exploration of a chosen study topic.¿
Dyma fodiwl sydd yn ei hanfod yn fodiwl o astudio annibynnol ar gyfer myfyrwyr sy'n dilyn MA mewn Addysg ar gyfer y Proffesiynau Iechyd. Bydd y modiwl yn galluogi cyfranogwyr i ddangos y gallant gynllunio, cynnal a chyflwyno archwiliad cysyniadol parhaus o bwnc astudio o¿u dewis.
This module has been designed to prepare educators from a variety of health professions for a role in teaching, supervising and assessing students and trainees in practice and academic settings. It aims to prepare educators to work within a developmental framework in the context of interprofessional learning and modern-day health services. This module will form part of the PGCert/PGDip/MA in Education for the Health Professions.
This module provides an introduction to leadership, management, mentoring and supervision and supervision theories, styles and concepts situated within a healthcare or educational context. It also introduces students to the approaches and evidence base of leadership management, mentoring and supervision literature and organisational analysis. Consideration of contemporary leadership, management, mentoring and supervision issues in clinical leadership enables students to gain appreciation of the wider aspects of public service, health systems, health professions education and organisational responses.¿
This module will focus on the development of skills required to provide safe and effective care of the burn injured patient. The module is run collaboratively with staff from Swansea Bay University Health Board (SBUHB) and is offered to staff working in burn care.
The module aims to raise awareness of violence and aggression issues and give the student practical skills in safe, non-aversive breakaway techniques.
This module provides you with the knowledge and tools to understand how modern healthcare services are shaped and how your clinical practice can make a meaningful impact. You will explore the challenges and opportunities that influence the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care across all four fields of nursing. Whether supporting individuals in their homes, communities, hospitals, or other care settings, you will learn how to adapt and respond to the evolving needs of patients and services. You will examine the different environments where care is delivered, exploring how your chosen field of practice fits within the wider healthcare system. From primary to tertiary care, and through the perspectives of service users, you will develop a clear understanding of how care is coordinated, managed, and experienced. The module helps you to connect theory with practice, preparing you to think critically and professionally about your role in shaping positive care outcomes. Throughout the module, you will explore how national and local policies influence care quality, safety, and improvement agendas. You will also be encouraged to reflect on your professional responsibilities as a student nurse and to consider how your actions contribute to the delivery of better, safer, and more compassionate care. If you are ready to take ownership of your learning and step confidently into your future nursing role, this module will support you to do so with purpose and clarity.

P'un a ydych yn cefnogi unigolion yn eu cartrefi, eu cymunedau, ysbytyai, neu leoliadau gofal eraill, byddwch yn dysgu sut i addasu ac ymateb i anghenion cynyddol y cleifion a'r gwasanaethau. Byddwch yn archwilio'r amgylcheddau gwahanol lle caiff gofal ei ddarparu, gan archwilio sut mae'ch maes ymarfer a ddewiswyd yn rhan o system gofal iechyd ehangach O ofal cynradd i ofal trydyddol, a thrwy safbwyntiau defnyddwyr gwasanaeth, byddwch yn datblygu dealltwriaeth glir o sut mae gofal yn cael ei gydlynu, ei reoli, a'i brofi. Mae'r modiwl yn eich helpu i gysylltu theori ag ymarfer, gan eich paratoi i feddwl yn feirniadol ac yn broffesiynol am eich rôl wrth lunio canlyniadau gofal positif. Drwy gydol y modiwl, byddwch yn archwilio sut mae polisïau cenedlaethol a lleol yn dylanwadu ar ansawdd, diogelwch, a rhaglenni gwella gofal. Byddwch hefyd yn cael eich hannog i fyfyrio ar eich cyfrifoldebau proffesiynol fel myfyriwr nyrsio ac ystyried sut mae eich gweithredoedd yn cyfrannu at ddarparu gofal gwell, mwy diogel, a mwy trugarog. Os ydych chi'n barod i gymryd perchnogaeth o'ch dysgu a chamu'n hyderus i'ch rôl nyrsio yn y dyfodol, bydd y modiwl hwn yn eich cefnogi i wneud hynny gyda phwrpas a eglurdeb.
