About

Dr Sui He is a lecturer in Chinese-English translation and interpretation at Swansea University. Her primary research is on metaphor translation in the popular scientific discourse. She is also very interested in the behavioural aspect of translation practice and the methodological issues of descriptive translation studies. Alongside her research, she is working as a researcher for the Chinese Classics Translation Project at the Royal Shakespeare Company, and as a freelance translator/interpreter between English, Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese for theatre companies, museums and technology forums in the UK.
