Career Highlights

Teaching Interests

I am programme director for the MSc in Clinical Psychology and Mental Health (with Dr. Rachael Hunter) and director of the MSc in Forensic Psychology due to start in September 2021.

My teaching interests include complex mental health (psychosis and 'personality disorder') and forensic psychology as well as postgraduate approaches to learning and professional development.

My areas of research interest include offending behaviour; psychological treatment in forensic mental health and prison settings; staff development and wellbeing, and personality disorder.  In additional to using standard quantitative and qualitative research designs I interested in the application of mixed methods (eg Q-sort) and small sample methods (eg single case experimental designs) to develop theory and understand change.
