About

Professor Paul M Holland is Associate Dean International in the Faculty of Science and Engineering. He spent the first ten years of his career working in the UK’s semiconductor industry. Paul's technical research interests are broad and include power electronics and systems focusing on decarbonising the energy sector.

In recent years Professor Holland has followed his interest in transforming higher education learning and teaching practices. He has led active and blended learning projects, Education 4.0 and is currently focusing on helping expand climate emergency education at Swansea University.

Teaching Interests

Professor Holland is interested in how digital technologies can augment active learning approaches. He has introduced new learning active learning spaces at Swansea University and co-leads a fully online module with international partners focusing on global engineering design.
