Media, Communications and PR Facilities

One of the Media department’s facilities is our recently appointed Media Creativity Suite. The suite comprises of a computer lab and a video studio. The lab is kitted out with iMac computers (29 of). These workstations have industry standard software installed, including Final Cut Pro X and Adobe Creative Cloud.

Learning the software is only half of the story, one must learn the principles that underlie how we can best communicate through differing media channels. 

Students are asked to respond to specific briefs and problems. 

Through practice and learning the principles that underpin communication, students discover new ways of seeing, hearing and portraying the world.

Many of the skills learnt with us offer diverse avenues for personal satisfaction and reward. Along with learning valuable professional skills these creative undertakings also promote experimentation and self expression. Realisations that are on-going and can nourish us a whole lifetime.
