Why did you choose to study at Swansea University?
Because Swansea University has excellent reputation for teaching and researching, while providing all round support for International students.
Can you tell us about your course and what did you enjoy the most?
In Swansea, I studied Mechanical Engineering as an exchange student and benefitted greatly from the well-organised courses and high-quality teaching. What I enjoyed most about my year living and studying in Swansea was the city and the university itself.
What was your experience studying in the Faculty of Science and Engineering?
The experience was perfect. We have easy access to various academic support like free academic English lessons, online library resources and so on. Coupling with the handy Canvas platform, I believe I didn't miss much from my online study compared to face-to-face teaching. Also, the faculty respects and considers students' opinions and feedback, making the study experience even better.
What are you doing now?
Currently, I'm studying MSc Computational Engineering Design at the University of Southampton.
What are your three favourite things about Swansea?
- One of the things I love most about Swansea is the city's inclusiveness, safety and offer everything that one expects to find.
- I am also delighted with the two campuses, which are close to the waterfront and the forest, combined with humanistic and scientific content.
- Lastly, the university's excellent location also allows me to access those stunning coastlines, such as Mumbles, Caswell and Tenby.
Would you recommend Swansea University to other International Students?
Yes, I highly recommend it. I believe all international students can feel at home at Swansea University, no matter where they come from.
