Buddy schemes can help new students settle into university life and continuing students with new challenges such as a year in industry or a major project. Mentors usually work with small groups on a flexible basis and enable mentees to learn from other students’ experience.

What do our mentors and mentees say?

Oli, Law Mentor

“Rewarding, fun, great for building interpersonal skills and overall, I feel, a now important part of the Law School.”

Paige, 1st year Law Mentee

“Definitely been helpful for me, especially in the coursework for this year! Emailing someone at the university to ask a minor question just seems far too formal. Very grateful for the help provided by those involved and definitely think it’s a great student service that other subjects should look at providing if they haven’t already, to help some people out because I’m sure it would be equally appreciated.”
