Dr Jinke Li joined the Department of Economics in 2014. He previously worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Reading and holds a PhD, MSc, and BSc in Economics from the University of Nottingham. His earlier research focused on macroeconomic modelling, particularly DSGE and agent-based models with learning mechanisms. In recent years, he has concentrated his research interests on the energy and health sectors.
Dr Li has published a series of papers on market structure and policy in the electricity market, with articles appearing in journals such as Energy Economics, Journal of Environmental Management, Utilities Policy, and Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews. He is currently the Programme Director for postgraduate courses in the Department of Economics and actively promotes internationalisation through academic partnerships, visiting students and scholars, and delegation visits.
