The Entrepreneur Myth: Simon will be speaking about the nature of entrepreneurship, and his experiences of working with business owners as an adviser on their personal finances.

He’ll also touch on his own journey as the founder of Mulberry Bow, a successful financial planning boutique in the City of London that now turns over £1M p.a. and is growing at 30% p.a.

He’ll discuss some of the myths around entrepreneurship and the challenges and rewards of being a business owner.

Simon graduated from Swansea University in 1996 with a 2:1 in Politics & Philosophy and after doing an MA in Marketing at Bristol Business School, he worked for several finance firms, including Schroders.  In 2009 he joined Barclays where he ended up running their £5M p.a. London financial planning business.

Biography - Simon Bullock joined Chase de Vere in 1997 after gaining an MA from Bristol Business School. He went on to work for Schroders and Barclays Private Bank before founding his own business (Mulberry Bow LLP) in 2015. He wrote the white paper ‘Pre-exit planning for entrepreneurs in the UK’ released by Barclays in January 2015 and enjoys bringing together people interested in innovation and entrepreneurship. He has invested in several early stage businesses in recent years.

Mulberry Bow is a chartered financial planning boutique based in the City of London. Simon established the business in 2015 and it now looks after 120 financially successful clients, employs seven people, turns over c.£1M and is growing 20% per annum. Strategic partners of the practice include Goldman Sachs, Rothschild & Co and several leading accountancy & legal practices.
