About Us

With over 50 years' experience providing higher education guidance to UK schools and colleges, Swansea University's Student Recruitment team is one of the UK's most proactive with helping prepare prospective students for the challenges, realities and benefits of university life.

We offer a range of outreach activities to inspire your students, many of which can be arranged to fit in with school or college timetables (including evening sessions) and are provided free of charge.

Workshops and Taster Days

We offer a range of talks, workshops and taster days providing support for students pre and post application. These sessions can be delivered in English or Welsh, either virtually, at your school or college, or as part of a Taster Day at Swansea University. During our on-campus Taster Days, you'll be welcomed by academic staff and Student Ambassadors who will guide you through interactive subject sessions and a tour of our campus and facilities.

Masterclasses

Our virtual Masterclasses are the perfect way to introduce your students to new subject areas, explore their options and get a feel for what university lectures are really like. Our world-class academics have delivered sessions across a range of subject areas, from exploring Modelling and AI in Civil Engineering, to the Psychology of Gambling and even How to Prepare for an Interview for a Clinical Course. We hold new masterclasses every year and you can also watch recordings from previous sessions.

Summer School

Our exciting summer school, held every July, offers a unique, hands-on experience designed for Year 12 students who are considering a degree in our Science, Technology, Engineering, Medicine and Mathematics (STEMM) subjects. The three-day residential programme (chargeable) gives students the opportunity to explore our range of STEMM courses, live on a real university campus, and gain valuable insights to help them decide if a STEMM degree is their next step.

Come to meet us

Our team travel the length and breadth of the UK to represent the University at higher education exhibitions including UCAS, UK Uni Search and WhatUni. These exhibitions are a great opportunity for students to speak with a representative about their higher education choices.

You can also meet the team at our Open Days, which are held throughout the year.  At an Open Day, you and your students can explore both of our beautiful campuses, meet our world-class teaching staff, explore our teaching facilities, accommodation options, sporting facilities and range of student support services and get the low down on student life from our friendly student ambassadors.
