Celebrating positive male role models and the loving strength that men bring to their families and communities, International Men’s Day will be held on Saturday 19th November 2022.

This year, three themes will be highlighted through a series of events led by leading lecturers and researchers from Swansea University

  • Making a positive difference to the wellbeing and lives of men and boys
  • Promoting a positive conversation about men, manhood and masculinity
  • Raising awareness and/or funds for charities supporting men and boys’ wellbeing

With Dr Michael R.M. Ward, this talk will question the purpose and rationale of IMD, but also highlight how it can be used as a platform to highlight important issues around gender inequality and to challenge gender scripts that harm men and others around them.
