What are your top 3 favourite things about Swansea?

  • First is the beach, a very good place to have a walk or run or have activities in nice weather, except windy and rainy days.
  • Second is the friendly and peaceful environment, most residents in Swansea are warm-hearted and nice, no need to worry too much about racial discrimination or xenophobia.
  • Third, the city is not very big, if living in the city centre, most places could be reached on foot, cinema, restaurant, supermarket, or train station if you want to have a short trip on weekend. very convenient for living.

Why did you choose to study your degree at Swansea?
There are several reasons I choose Swansea, as an international student, first I need to find a country to do my master's degree, the U.K. provides a one-year master's program which is valuable for both saving time and money, next, I want to find a school has a good academic reputation in computer science, also, accept students who did not have a programming background, Swansea satisfies both these conditions.

What is your favourite thing about your course?
It provides essential modules for conversion students to have a solid understanding of both theoretical computer concepts, and practical programming skills, also advanced algorithms and data structures concepts, which gives you the advantage in a job application, with the learning of this course, you are not only a code monkey but a computer scientist.

What are you planning/hoping to do after you graduate?
Planning to find a job as programming engineer.

Would you recommend Swansea University to other students?
I think Swansea University would be a great choice for students who prefer a peaceful and quiet environment, also, who don't want to afford expensive tuition fees. I know the engineering department is great, so I would suggest engineering students put Swansea into their consideration.

Have you worked part-time during your degree?
If the student ambassador scheme can be treated as part-time, then yes. The experience of working with other ambassadors is enjoyable and memorable, during the open day or reaching out event I had an opportunity to know people from different majors.
