About
Dr. Aslam is a medical doctor and works full-time in mixed-methods research at the Swansea University Medical School, London School of Hygiene Tropical Medicine, and as Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Liverpool. Her research interests lie at the intersection of transnational migration (specifically refugees and asylum seekers), community engagement, cultural psychiatry, global mental health research and policy. She has led and been part of multiple projects funded and commissioned by National Institute of Health Research (NIHR), Health and Care Research Wales (HCRW), Cochrane, and Department of Health in the United Kingdom.
She also teaches and supervise students for their undergraduate and postgraduate theses.
