Science and Principles Supporting Rehabilitation Engineering
This module will develop students¿ knowledge and understanding of the main disabling conditions affecting people. The module will consider the role of the rehabilitation engineer, rehabilitation services and a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) approach to providing high-quality, patient-centred and safe rehabilitation services. The principles and use of assistive will be explored and linked to materials, design of assistive technologies and workshop practice.

Clinical Assessment Skills
This module builds upon students existing knowledge as registered health care practitioners and provides a systematic and comprehensive education in holistic clinical assessment and clinical reasoning. This is underpinned by a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology. Emphasis is placed upon the integration of knowledge, clinical methods and consultation skills into a competent consultation enabling the student to draw accurate clinical conclusions, which they can justify from a pathophysiological and psychosocial perspective
