About

Andrea is an elected fellow of the Learned Society of Wales and of the British Psychological Society. Andrea was previously the Director of the Awen Institute and Co-Director of the Centre for Ageing and Dementia Research and now co-ordinates an extensive dementia interest and research network, with particular focus upon attentional, sensory and perceptual function in ageing and dementia. Andrea has published extensively in these areas, including books in these areas which have been internationally co-produced by people living with a dementia, caregivers, academics (at all career levels), physicians, audiologists, optometrists, occupational therapist, nurses, health economists, dementia research group facilitators, and PhD students. Andrea also has research interests in relation to the treatment of cancer by radiotherapy and associated support and logistics systems.

Andrea has had the privilege and enjoyment of supervising over 20 PhD students across a wide range of academic interests.
