Swansea University’s Press Office will be closed from 23 December 2025 to 5 January 2026. During this time, only urgent enquiries will be dealt with, while routine enquiries will be answered when the university reopens in the New Year.
Construction on the National Institute for Sport and Health (NISH), a pioneering new centre dedicated to advancing health, sport, and technology innovation is due to begin. Work to replace the existing pavilion at Sketty Lane will commence in January with full construction beginning shortly thereafter.
A lifelong passion for learning has driven Bernice Juxon-Jones to continue her studies into her retirement. Now at the age of 92 she has just been awarded a Master of Philosophy degree in Medieval German from Swansea University.
