Latin and Greek at all levels, Medieval Latin and Egyptian
The fifth Summer School in Ancient Languages will take place at Swansea University from 12th July - 25th July 2020. There will be intensive courses on Beginners, Post-Beginners, Intermediate, Intermediate-Advanced, and Advanced Latin and Greek, as well as Beginners and Post-Beginners Egyptian and Medieval Latin, subject to sufficient numbers enrolling for each class. Courses are open to all ages 12+. 12-18 year olds are welcome when accompanied by an adult who takes full responsibility for the child.
The courses will be taught on the Singleton campus of Swansea University. We have the Egypt Centre on site, Swansea beach is but a minute’s walk away, a short bus trip will get participants to the city centre with museums (Swansea Museum, Waterfront Museum, Dylan Thomas Centre etc.) and the Marina, and the beautiful Gower peninsula can be reached by bus from the city centre for those interested in exploring its history and nature. With the many historical sites (not just Roman), the National Botanic Gardens, National Trust and Cadw properties all at less than 40 minutes away, we're ideally located for a language-intensive course with plenty of scope for exploring South Wales.
The application process is now done entirely online. The online application form is available here.
