I am an Associate Professor of applied psychology and research methods teaching undergraduate and post graduate health professionals and social science students. I am also Swansea University Dean of Academic Leadership: Research Integrity and Ethics. In this role I provide strategic direction to developing a research culture of transparency and best practice in addition to ensuring that the policies and procedures of the University relating to research ethics and governance are upheld and implemented by staff, students and visiting researchers. I have a PhD in Psychology, I am a registered nurse and a Senior Teaching Fellow of the HEA. I have successfully supervised PhD and MSc students investigating topics relating to health care.  I am an experienced researcher with a focus on researching the experiences of people with chronic pain using Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). I have also published research on medications management of people with dementia, health Services Research and pedagogical research into developing educational interventions.
