Yes, it is possible to switch. You would need to contact the Education Journeys team (edjourneys-fse@swansea.ac.uk) to request a transfer onto the scheme. As a student on the Year in Industry scheme, you will be responsible for securing your own placement. However, we provide plenty of support to do this. We have a dedicated support team within the Faculty who provide students enrolled on the scheme with a list of placement opportunities on a weekly basis.

The Employability team are regularly looking to source new opportunities and are often contacted by companies who are looking to recruit placement students. 

The majority of placements take place in the UK, but placements can be sought in and outside of the EU. Please be advised that all placements (UK and International) are subject to approval by the University.

A Year in Industry placement needs to be a minimum of 40 weeks.
