Dyma amcanion y rhaglen Gwyddoniaeth Deunyddiau a Pheirianneg:

  • Cyflwyno cysyniadau dylunio, dethol a phrosesu deunyddiau ar gyfer amrywiaeth o gymwysiadau ym maes peirianneg a disgyblaethau eraill.
  • Sicrhau bod myfyrwyr yn cael cefndir cadarn mewn Gwyddoniaeth Deunyddiau, gan ganolbwyntio ar y cysylltiad rhwng strwythur a phriodweddau ffisegol a swyddogaethol deunyddiau.
  • Meithrin y sgiliau ymarferol ac arbrofol a’r sgiliau ysgrifennu technegol y mae ein partneriaid a’n cydweithwyr ym myd diwydiant yn galw amdanynt
  • Creu ymwybyddiaeth feirniadol o effeithiau amodau prosesu ar strwythur a phriodweddau ffisegol deunyddiau.

Gall y cynnig a gewch amrywio’n ôl y pynciau rydych yn eu hastudio a chaiff pob cais ei ystyried ar wahân, a hynny ar sail graddau TGAU, pynciau a graddau UG, profiad gwaith, llythyrau geirda a datganiadau personol.

Neu 34 pwynt yn y Fagloriaeth Ryngwladol gan gynnwys 5 mewn Mathemateg Lefel Uwch neu 6 mewn Mathemateg Lefel Safonol a 4 yn Saesneg Lefel Uwch neu 5 yn Saesneg Lefel Safonol.

Os yw myfyrwyr yn dilyn cwrs BTEC mewn pynciau perthnasol, bydd angen D*D*D* - D*D*D, gan gynnwys B mewn Mathemateg Safon Uwch. Os nad ydych yn dilyn cwrs Mathemateg Safon Uwch, bydd angen o leiaf D yn y modiwlau ‘Mathemateg i Dechnegwyr’ a D mewn ‘Mathemateg Bellach i Dechnegwyr’ y BTEC. Mae angen i fyfyrwyr hefyd fod ag o leiaf dau gymhwyster TGAU gradd A , gan gynnwys gradd B, o leiaf, mewn Mathemateg a dau bwnc gwyddonol arall.

Ffioedd Dysgu

Y ffioedd dysgu blynyddol ar gyfer blwyddyn academaidd 2019/20 fydd:

Nid yw ffioedd dysgu'r radd MEng Gwyddor Defnyddiau a Pheirianneg yn cynnwys costau personol y myfyriwr megis prynu llyfrau a deunydd ysgrifennu, argraffu a llungopïo.

Mae pob gwerslyfr a argymhellir ar gyfer y cwrs hwn ar gael yn y llyfrgell. Mae’r holl feddalwedd sydd ei hangen ar gyfer y cwrs ar gael ar y rhwydwaith Peirianneg, i'w defnyddio yn ein hystafelloedd cyfrifiaduron ym Mhrifysgol Abertawe.

Achredir y cwrs MEng Gwyddor Defnyddiau a Pheirianneg ym Mhrifysgol Abertawe gan y Sefydliad Defnyddiau, Mwynau a Mwyngloddio (IOM3). 

Mae achrediad yn farc ansawdd i nodi bod y radd yn bodloni'r safonau a osodir gan y Cyngor Peirianneg yn y ddogfen Safonau'r DU ar gyfer Cymhwysedd Peirianneg Proffesiynol. O ganlyniad i ennill gradd achrededig, bydd gennych rai, neu'r cyfan, o'r wybodaeth, dealltwriaeth, a sgiliau sydd eu hangen i gofrestru'n Beiriannydd Corfforedig neu'n Beiriannydd Siartredig. Mae rhai cyflogwyr yn ffafrio'r rhai sydd â gradd achrededig wrth recriwtio, ac mae gradd achrededig yn debyg o gael ei chydnabod mewn gwledydd sydd wedi llofnodi cytundebau rhyngwladol.
