Entry requirements

Undergraduate Entry Requirements

Entry requirements for individual courses can vary widely.  Please visit 'Your Country' pages to find information relevant to you.

If your country is not listed and you are unsure if you qualify to study with us, you can contact the Admissions Office (admissions@swansea.ac.uk) at the University who can advise you. A complete global list of  Undergraduate Entry Requirements can be found here.

NOTE:

Candidates applying for first degrees in Engineering and Science who are not qualified for direct entry to the first year of a degree scheme can be considered for entry to a four year integrated degree scheme. Please see the relevant subject entries for further details.

Applications from international students for first year exemption, i.e. for admission to the second year of an undergraduate degree scheme, will be considered on an individual basis.

Postgraduate Entry Requirements

To be eligible for entrance to a postgraduate degree programme candidates must hold a Bachelor Degree, or its equivalent, from a recognised overseas University/College of Higher Education.  Visit 'Your Country' pages to find information relevant to you.  You can view a full list of Postgraduate entry requirement equivalents here.  However, these are a guide only and other factors have to be considered when assessing your eligibility.  Entry requirements vary between courses.

Normally, candidates are expected to have a degree that is relevant to the Masters for which they are applying. There are however exceptions to this rule, such as the MBA, MA TEFL and the MA in Translation with Language Technology , where a degree in any subject will be considered. For a full list of entry requirements for each course visit the postgraduate study web site here.

Candidates who do not hold a bachelor degree and who wish to be considered on their relevant work experience as a non-graduate entrant should contact the Admissions Office (admissions@swansea.ac.uk) for further details.
