The BSc Computer Science with a Year Abroad degree at Swansea University is a four-year scheme designed to teach you a wide range of aspects of Computer Science.
As a BSc Computer Science with a Year Abroad student, you will have the opportunity to learn about computer graphics, modelling computer systems, software engineering, writing mobile apps, data visualisation and some of the more advanced theoretical aspects of Computer Science. You will develop your programming skills (in C and Java), and have the opportunity to attempt advanced tasks, both individually and in groups. You will also have the opportunity to spend a year abroad at one of our partner institutions and experience a different culture and language.
In the final year of your studies, you will undertake a large project, accounting for 25% of the credit for the year, and study a selection of our advanced option modules. These vary from year to year.
