Introduction

For the majority of students, starting university will be the biggest and most exciting challenge they have faced. It is therefore understandable that you, as parents and guardians, will experience a certain amount of apprehension as your child prepares to leave home.

There are also so many questions! What will my son/daughter study? Where will he/she live? What is there to do? How much will it cost? What support is there in case something goes wrong? How will university help my child’s career prospects? How safe will he/she be?
