Residence Parking Information

Student & Guest Parking

Swansea University encourages all of its staff and students to use public transport as much as possible – sustainability is at the heart of the University’s ethos and has seen it achieve ‘First Class Degree’ status in The Guardian ‘Green League’.

However, we appreciate that some students are unable to use public transport due to where they live, their childcare arrangements, their disabilities, or for other reasons.

Parking

The University must advise only disabled visitors are able to park on the Singleton Park Campus itself.

We recommend all other vehicles park in the City and County of Swansea’s Recreation Ground Car Park, which is adjacent to the Singleton Park Campus and approximately 500m walk away.  (All day parking, driver only, costs £3.50. All day parking, driver and passenger(s), costs £3.00. An afternoon charge from 1.00pm costs £2.00.) Directions to the Recreation Ground Car Park can be found below.

To get to the Recreation Ground Car Park, approaching from the East (M4), use the directions above to ‘Pass St Helen's Rugby Ground on Oystermouth Road on your right’.

After passing St Helen’s Rugby Ground, as you approach the next set of traffic lights, use the dedicated right-hand turn lane with filter arrow to turn right into Brynmill Lane.

Continue to the mini roundabout and turn a full 360° at the mini roundabout to return to Oystermouth Road, where you turn left at the traffic lights.

Immediately on the left (by the bus stop) is the entrance to the Recreation Ground Car Park.
