Eligibility

Students must be enrolled at Swansea University
Students cannot be in the final year of study
Postgraduate students can apply for funding but must provide evidence that their academic supervisor approves of their participation.
International students should speak to International@CampusLife to check the impact of the work placement on their Student Route visa

Costs and Funding

Estimated cost to student: Approximately £900 per student or approximately £500 per WP eligible student

This is based on an overall estimated costs of £3,335

Programme cost for 4 weeks: £1,895 which includes
- airport pick-up
- accommodation
- some meals
- cultural activities
- domestic travel

Estimated additional costs: £1,440 which includes:
- assumed flight cost - £1120
- visa - £220
- equipment - £100
- you may incur additional costs not listed above

Estimated additional costs were sourced in November 2023 and may decrease/increase. Students may need to pay additional costs which are not outlined above. All of the above figures are estimates and are subject to change.

FUNDING AVAILABLE

Funding of £2435 per student or £2835 per WP eligible student

Additional information

We do not recommend making financial commitments to your chosen programme until you have received funding confirmation and further guidance from Swansea University.
You will be responsible for paying the non-refundable registration fee of £195 directly to Think Pacific.
Funding may be Taith, Turing or Go Global funding.
Any programme days beyond 31st August 2024 will not be funded
If you fail to participate in the entire programme, you will be required to return any funding received and will be responsible for repaying the Think Pacific programme cost to Swansea University

Widening Participation Criteria

annual household income of £25,000 or less (rising to £30,000 for Go Global bursaries)
students receiving Universal Credit or income-related benefits (for Taith and Turing only)
care leavers and care experienced students
care givers (excludes Taith)
estranged students.
refugees and asylum seekers.
first international or professional experience (for Santander only)
