About
Gwenno is a Teacher Practitioner at Swansea University’s School of Pharmacy.
Following the completion of her pre-registration training at Glangwili General Hospital, Gwenno qualified as a pharmacist in 2018. She undertook a clinical diploma at the hospital, rotating through specialities including paediatrics, renal medicine and critical care. She also gained experience within the primary care sector during this time.
Subsequently, Gwenno received a rotational post in cardiology before going on to cover the role of Lead Pharmacist for Women and Children’s Health for Hywel Dda University Health Board, which developed her interest in education and interprofessional teaching.
Gwenno continues her career in hospital pharmacy as an advanced pharmacist alongside her role of teacher practitioner, with a focus on paediatrics and obstetrics in addition to pharmacy education and training as a tutor for both trainee and diploma pharmacists. As a fluent Welsh speaker, Gwenno strives to help develop a future pharmacist workforce that can confidently use the language in the workplace.
