About
Andy Leckie is a lecturer and Deputy Programme Director for the Masters in Physician Associate Studies at Swansea University Medical School. He has a broad remit on the programme with involvement in admissions, assessment, curriculum development, clinical skills, placements, student experience and simulation, and actively teaches across the programme with interests in mental health and primary care.
As the Clinical Placement Lead for the programme, he is committed to developing Physician Associate education in clinical practice. As module lead for Foundations in Clinical Medicine Andy is responsible for coordinating and delivering the core clinical teaching curriculum in collaboration with block leads and clinical lecturers.
Andy also works as a Physician Associate in General Practice in the Welsh valleys. Since 2022, he has acted as an examiner for the Physician Associate National OSCE and holds a key interest in Physician Associate assessment and professional development.
