Entry Requirements

Undergraduate Programmes: 
Candidates are expected to have achieved a 12 High School or Secondary School Diploma* - with 65% or grade B* awarded (*depending on province)

Postgraduate Programmes:  
Candidates must hold a Bachelor Degree, or its equivalent, from a recognised University/College of Higher Education with a minimum of a 2.2 Bachelor/Honours equivalent: GPA (12pt) = 6 or GPA (4pt) = 2.3 or % (60% Pass) = 69% or % (50% Pass) = 60% or Alpha (or 9pt) =C+

Tuition fees & Canadian Scholarships

Tuition fees range approximately from £12,500 - £16,950 per year. Specific tuition fees can be found on each of the course pages. Please choose your undergraduatepostgraduate taught or research course from the A-Z listings and fees can be found under the 'tuition fees' section.

Canadian Scholarships

Swansea University offer partial scholarships to excellent students. Scholarship information and applications usually open in Spring and close in July. To be eligible to apply for a scholarship, you must have submitted an application to study at Swansea University as you will need your student number to complete the scholarship form.  

If you wish to be considered for a scholarship, it is advised that you should to apply to study at Swansea University as soon as possible to avoid any possible delays.

Commonwealth Scholarship
As a citizen of Canada, you may be eligible for funding from the Commonwealth Scholarship.  

The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the United Kingdom (CSC) is responsible for managing Britain’s contribution to the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP), established in 1959, and supports around 700 awards annually.

Canadian Centennial Scholarships Fund

The Canadian Centennial Scholarships Fund is open to applications from all Canadian graduate students studying for full-time, multi-year graduate programmes in the UK.

National Welsh-American Foundation Scholarships

The NWAF is offering scholarships for students who wish to study in Wales, with the closing date being 15th June 2015. One is an award is for the sum of $5000, the other a travel grant of $1000.

 

Canada Student Loan Program and Funding

Swansea University is a designated institution for the Canada Student Loan program. Our 4 digit Educational Institution code is "PUCM".

Canada Student Loans are issued and managed through the National Student Loans Service Centre, and are usually applied for at provincial level. Please visit www.canlearn.ca for full details on the application process and eligibility information.

Global Education Management Services (GEMS)

Global Education Management Services (GEMS) collaborates with RBC Royal Bank to provide a credit line for Canadian Students to provide additional funds to pay for academic expenses. The programme is an excellent way for Canadian students to supplement the money received from the Canadian government through the Canada Student Loan Program.
