Resource Efficiency & Waste Minimisation
Type of Waste: Non recyclable waste including polystyrene, hand towels/tissues, video/audio tape, strapping/banding, coffee cups, crisp packs, contaminated packaging.
Type of Waste: Empty plastic bottles and clean containers
Do not Put: Clean material only. No tetrapaks. No crisp packets.
Type of Waste: Aluminium and tin, food tins (rinsed)
Do Not Put: Contaminated tins. Clean material only.
Type of Waste: Office paper, newspaper, magazines, books, envelopes (non-window), small amounts of cardboard
Do not Put: Coffee cups as cannot be recycled.
Type of Waste: Clean bottles & jars. All coloured glass – green, clear, white, blue.
Do not Put: Contaminated bottles or jars.
Type of Waste: Food waste including teabags, coffee grounds, peelings, uneaten sandwiches.
Do not Put: contaminants like plastic, paper, or wrappings.
Type of Waste: Place in dedicated cup bins or in (BLACK) non-recyclable bins if no cup bin available.
Cup bins help to separate to avoid issue of contamination.
There are two ways of disposing
1. Place paper in blue confidential waste bags.
2. Shred paper and place in clear recycling bags for cleaners to collect
