I am interested in a broad range of fundamental questions on the interface between cosmology and particle physics. In particular understanding the nature and origin of past and present acceleration, i.e. cosmological inflation and dark energy, as well as the nature of dark matter, in terms of a fundamental theory of quantum gravity such as string theory. A complete list of my publications can be found at the INSPIRE database using the link above.

Teaching

  • PH-005 Introduction to Bulk Physics and Thermal Physics

The module objectives are: to introduce properties of solid materials and methods of measuring these properties. The fundamentals of heat and hermodynamics will also be studied. The development of calculational skils in these topics will be encouraged.

  • PH-229 Particle Physics I

This module provides a first introduction to elementary particle physics.
